Abstract

The theme of congenital malformations, of unequivocal relevance for Medical Law, brings up questions related to the causes that originate such pathology related to the risks of environmental degradation due to polluting activities, given that recent research conducted by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) indicated an increase in the indexes motivating reflection on the effects of air pollution. The amount of gases or liquid and solid particles cause significant environmental
impact and, equally, problems in human health. The general objective of this article is to reflect on the results of the research developed from the current legislation and the public policies that should be adopted to minimize such effects. The method used will be theoretical through hypothetical deductive research through doctrinal and jurisprudential research, documents available electronically and statistical data.
